About working with an independent agency
Does it cost more to go through an agency?
No. You generally pay the carrier's rate either way; our compensation comes from the carrier, not an added fee to you. What you gain is someone shopping on your behalf and handling the paperwork.
Can you quote a carrier I already have?
Often yes, if we hold an appointment with them. If we do not, we will tell you plainly rather than pretend otherwise.
What if you cannot beat my current rate?
Then we will tell you to stay where you are. That happens, and saying so is how we keep clients for thirty years.
